REQUIREMENTS FOR MTT-S SUPPORT
百度 各地重污染天气应急预案的减排量大幅增加，橙色预警的工业企业减排力度相当于以前红色预警。Before a chapter applies for MTT-S financial support they should apply for support from the IEEE Section to which that chapter reports. Sections receive a rebate for your chapter’s past year’s activities and the Section should support your current activities.
Chapters must have fulfilled all the following requirements for an ‘active’ status to be eligible for any one of the below funding programs:
- Minimum of ten (10) members; five (5) members for Student Branch Chapters
- Complete up-to-date Chapter Officer roster reported via vTools Officer Reporting
- Minimum of two (2) reported technical meetings via vTools Events in the previous year, Chapters less than one-year-old are exempt from this requirement
CHAPTER FUNDING
Chapter Activity Support – MTT-S provides annual financial support to its active chapters. The amount of chapter activity financial support is $1,000 per year for single-society MTT-S Chapters or $500 per year for Joint Chapters which are associated with MTT-S.
Chapter Workshop/Symposium Support – MTT-S has established a fund to aid needy chapters to organize technical events. The fund provides $500 seed money per chapter to aid in putting on a yearly event such as a workshop or symposium.
The requirements for a qualifying workshop or symposium are:
- The event must be at least four (4) hours in length
- An IEEE MTT-S membership booth must be present at the event
- The MTT-S Regional Coordinator must endorse the proposed event
Funding applications for both programs can be made through the Chapter Funding form.
IMPORTANT: All requests for MTT chapter funding must be received by October 1 or the chapter may be asked to make its application in the following year.?
AFFINITY GROUP EVENT / PROJECT SUPPORT
MTT-S supports a number of affinity groups. If your chapter is planning an event that falls within the scope of such an affinity group, you can apply for financial support via the application forms listed below. A sponsorship request usually requires a detailed description and mandatory post-event reporting.
Young Professionals (YP) in Microwaves – is a slice of the IEEE Young Professionals (YP) community comprised of the MTT-S YP members. We share the same overall YP goals, but focus on providing these within the technical context of the microwave world.
Funding applications can be made through the YP Funding form.
Women in Microwaves (WiM) – is the subset of Women in Engineering (WIE) working within the field of microwave engineering and typically active within the MTT society. Women in Microwaves (WIM) is also a subcommittee under MGA within the MTT-S.
Funding applications can be made through the Affinity Funding form, selecting Women in Microwaves as the funding program.
Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology (SIGHT) – Within the MTT-S SIGHT initiative, we acknowledge the transformative potential of technology transcending conventional boundaries. As conscientious stewards of global progress, we pledge to harness our proficiency in microwave and wireless technology to confront urgent humanitarian dilemmas.
Funding applications can be made through the Affinity Funding form, selecting SIGHT as the funding program.
CHAPTER OFFICER TRAVEL SUPPORT
Each active MTT-S Chapter may receive financial support up to $2,250 per year to send a Chapter Officer to attend one of the Chapter Chair Meetings (CCM) held in conjunction with the International Microwave Symposium (IMS), the European Microwave Week (EuMW), the Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference (APMC), the Microwaves Antennas and Propagation Conference (MAPCON), or the Latin America Microwave Conference (LAMC).
